Do you or your friends, co-workers, or family members struggle with anxiety, grief, trauma, shame or addiction? Maybe you just can’t find the right thing to say? Would you like to help, but you’re just not sure how? Check this out!
Share The Struggle is a non-profit organization that seeks to showcase God’s redemptive power through media. Their hope is to follow Jesus’ example of binding up the brokenhearted and meeting struggling people where they are at. They do this by bringing churches around the globe world-class resources that connect people to their local church, build Christ-centered communities, and tackle the most pressing emotional and mental health needs.
The “Helping Helpers” course will give you wisdom on how to come alongside someone in the midst of their struggles. There’s no more strategic avenue for evangelism and discipleship than through someone’s deepest “pain point”. We believe the mental health crisis is the mission of our decade.
Weeks 1-5 will teach practical skills to listen and respond well. The following weeks will drill down on specific struggles.
Starts Monday, June 12 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm – The cost is $35 per person.
The “pain point” we’ll learn about include:
- Anxiety
- Grief
- Trauma
- Shame
- Addiction
After the first five weeks, the length, of course, is dependent upon the specific interests/needs of the group.
As we look to our cultural landscape, we can’t deny the church has been called to follow Jesus’ example of healing the wounded, or, as we like to call it, binding up the brokenhearted. This is why Share the Struggle connects people who are struggling with world-class Christian experts in their courses. It’s here that Christ-centered community is created, and the journey of healing can begin — as the church is equipped and trained to meet people where they are at.
We believe Share the Struggle courses need to be in every church so that we’re able to meet the needs of our hurting world. That’s why the mission is to raise up group leaders in the church and train staff and volunteers to engage with struggles.
