From November 17–24, Cornerstone Church was a central drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child! Volunteers from Cornerstone Church, along with Coach McNeely, the EHS baseball team, and EHS football players helped throughout the week to receive and organize shoeboxes. A big thank you goes out to Sandy Wilson for coordinating the effort, and to all the volunteers who made this year’s collection a success. This year, the regional totals of shoeboxes collected was 11,648 shoeboxes, with over 5,000 coming through Cornerstone Church alone. These gifts will bring joy and hope to children around the world.

Today, a group of ladies from Cornerstone attended Senior Adult Day at Oil Belt Camp. The event featured a powerful message from David Upchurch, based on Psalm 71:14–21, encouraging all in attendance to “declare God’s power to the next generation.” Worship was beautifully led by Tricia Cater, and a delicious meal was provided by Niemerg’s. It was a wonderful day filled with meaningful worship, heartfelt fellowship, and spiritual renewal.

The walking trail around the building is open and ready for pedestrians. A flat surface and .3 mile distance is great for strollers, wheelchairs, and folks who may want to grab a short walk without committing to a long hike. C’mon out and try it out! Everyone is welcome!
